Today we introduced a completely new embed object. It has improved browser compatibility and a sleeker design.
Clicking on the object will trigger ThickBox, which will show the VIDDIX production of your choice in full glory. It’s a great way to enhance your website or blog.
If you’ve got any questions and/or feedback, please let us know.
After 4 weeks of development we're introducing a completely new & improved dashboard for our registered users. By taking the dashboard out of the VIDDIX player, we created a more user-friendly interface and room for additional functionality.
The VIDDIX team will implement new dashboard updates/upgrades regularly, so check the blog if you want to know how to get the most out of VIDDIX.
We hope you'll enjoy the new dashboard and welcome your feedback.
From now on, everyone has two options to integrate VIDDIX into their website: video-only or the full VIDDIX player.
Full embed
Get the complete VIDDIX experience on your own website. This configuration is powered by ThickBox. Make sure you have it included in your webpages before using the full embed code. To learn how to activate ThickBox on your pages check: http://jquery.com/demo/thickbox/.
ThickBox is not only great for VIDDIX, but for a lot of other applications too. It’s another free and valuable addition to your website.
After installing ThickBox, simply copy and paste the full-embed code of your video (in the videoinfo screen) to your website. A small preview image of your video will appear, and when clicked, an overlay will open and show the full player. Not only stylish but practical as well, as it will fit into any website (the full player is quite large).
This is an example of the result:

Wordpress
For people using Wordpress there is a useful plugin (powered by Gavin Barker), making it even more easy to use Thickbox. Just extract the file, upload it to your plugins folder, activate it. Now you can use the embedcode on your site.
Video-only
The simple & easy option without the iPanel. To use this embed option, copy and paste the embed code to your website (you can find this code in the videoinfo screen of your video).
This is an example of the result:
For the complete VIDDIX experience, the full embed solution is the way to go.
Use these embed versions to show your VIDDIX videos everywhere!
If you encounter any problems please let us know.
On the 26th of February we launched a Beta version of VIDDIX, and things took off rather quickly in the following week. The initial reactions came from our home country (Holland) but soon we had reactions coming in from all over the world.
Feedback The feedback from everyone this past week was really valuable. A lot of people contacted us through our contact form, others began blogging and discussing our service on other websites. We are working on integrating the collected feedback in our plans and we will use this blog in the near future to let you know what you can expect from us. The VIDDIX Blog also provides our users with another way to contact us and to comment on developments. We encourage everyone to do so, as we are evolving VIDDIX with your feedback in mind.
Opportunities There are a lot of ways in which VIDDIX can be put to use. New opportunities are available for a lot of people and organizations, and the VIDDIX team encourages the research and development of these opportunities. Together with experts from all fields, we want to create the next generation of:
e-learning material
business presentations
viral videos
podcasts/vlogs
video tutorials/reviews
video CVs
internet video in general.
If you think you can team up with us to help realize one or more of the above, please contact us through the contact form. We are actively looking for partners.
This blog The VIDDIX Blog will be used to communicate news, updates/features, partnerships and other developments. To keep updated, visit this blog regularly. We look forward to seeing your feedback!
